Welcome to 137 Forging On.....

My name is Dara Carey-Quilty

Blacksmithing became my way of life as it has helped me to heal from the tragic losses of my two significant life partners - Alan, my husband of 10yrs in October 2000 & Jarrod, my partner in crime of 8yrs in April 2014....I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to share my love for the craft with everyone that visits my humble little workshop '137 Forging On' in Phillip Island, Australia....I also make it my mission to promote & showcase other Artisans/Makers from ARC (Artisan Revival Collective) of ZEN, at our little gallery of gifts, ZEN137....I am often asked what '137' means so I explain that it has deep significant meaning to me as 1 was Jarrod's favourite number....3 is mine & 7 was Al's favourite number....so together 137 was born as a way for me to honour both Alan & Jarrod!!
